Now that I am actually able to sit down without either somewhere to be or passing out, it is about time I wrote up about BronyCon.
It was awesome.
Now, BronyCon is only my second MLP con ever, with my first being MLP-MSP, which was comparatively small (yet a lot of fun as well). Nonetheless, I still call it the best con ever.
The panel was on Sunday @ 1:45pm in the Hall of the Moon. Even with the hall's large size, we filled the majority. On the panel was ata64, The4thaggie, Tohino, BeardedDoomGuy and myself. We started with a intro video showing some of the various works we have done. Afterwards, we talked a bit about what we do and how we do it. We left the majority of the time open for questions, which was good as there was a lot of them. Towards the end, the questions were cut (sadly) short so that we could show the Fallout video I have been working on nearly forever. Afterward, I got to talk to some of the fans 1-to-1, shake hands and sign autographs. It was amazing to get to meet fans up close and see the effect they have.
While BronyCon will be uploading the high quality later, BeardedDoomGuy's dad recorded the panel as well, so you can watch it now if you want! Even has the Fallout video in it, though it will be like watching the cam version of a movie in a theater.
Notable people I met
-ata64, The4thaggie, Tohino, and BeardedDoomGuy were all in attendance for the panel (talked about above) and was a blast getting to hang out with them.
-Completely randomly, I ran into the guys from Bench Thief (creators of First Flight [SFM]) which was amazing as that video was one of the most inspiring pieces of the year for me. Got to give them hugs and everything. One of the highlights of the con for me.
-PacificPenguin we met up with on Saturday and a bit on Sunday to hang out with. I love his work, so it was awesome to get to see them. ^^
-I had no idea, but TheInvertedShadow ended up being at our panel, though I don't think I got to talk to them personally (there was so much going on after the panel, my brain was scrambled).
-Met Here-for-the-ponies at their booth and checked out their amazing artwork (one of which I purchased below). Be sure to check them out!
-Checked out Uncommented's booth and all the amazing 3D prints he has.
-Met Acesential, which does art for the EBC radio play and for which I found inspiration from in making the preview image to be used in the final video. He was a really awesome guy to talk with and meet.
-I spent a lot of time hanging out with the guys from Anthology, spent some of the evenings with Caisius, Jurassic and TenderHearts.
-There were plenty of others I got to meet, but listing them all would take forever. Sorry if I missed you.
While I did get to meet a lot of big name people as well, it was meeting those that have supported me the most that I feel deserve the recognition here, so kept it to them. ^^
I picked up a few prints (the first was a gift from JHaller as he wanted the buy-2 deal lol).
And 2 plushies (the FlufflePuff was for my sister ^^)
Rainbow was made by Sen5. Fluffle was made by Cutie Corral. Both are adorable.
I could write all night about all the amazing times had, but no one wants a wall of text.
To summarize, it was an amazing time. While YouTube and DeviantArt may give you a number on how many people like and subscribe to your content, it is still just a number. The con showed me those behind the numbers. Those that have shown their support through kind words and compliments. Those that took there time away from a busy con to come and see us. It is what keeps me doing these videos with a smile on my face. The thanks should and always will go to all of you for the content I make. You make it possible.
This is an absolutely amazing community that I am beyond proud to be a part of.
